Right now the Incredible isn't available until the of the month. I called Verizon directly since the stores by me don't have them in stock. No one can get it.  I have to deal for now with a phone that keeps locking up.

You mean the Android operating system is outselling phones with the iPhone operating system. Because that is essentially what that article is saying.
There is no surprise with that statement. There are currently over 18 phones running Android OS, encompassed over all the major cellphone networks (Verizon, Sprint, ATT, T-Mo). That all adds the total in that article. Google is giving away their OS.

How many phones out there run Apple OS? How about one current phone and one tablet.
The fact that Apple still has the market share they have speaks volumes. It's like you are taking the combined sales about 18 other cellphones and comparing that to just the iPhone.

I was with Verizon for a million years. Loved the service, never had an issue.
I got the I Phone and went over to AT&T in December. LOOOOOVE the phone, HATE AT&T.
I read about the dropped calls, and didn't really pay it much mind. But, for me, it is soooo true. I am in Western Suffolk and Nassau, from the North Shore to the South Shore and I can honestly say, that I cannot get through 90% of my calls, without the call being dropped. It is beyond annoying. I am seriously thinking about going back to Verizon.

My contract with verizon is up in September. I plan to get the droid incredible from verizon as I was also waiting for the iphone, but don't want to switch to AT&T.

DH and I are in the same boat. We were hoping Verizon would get the iPhone, as we're unwilling to give up the good service we have with Verizon. Looks like we'll be getting Droids until the iphone comes to verizon.
