Wedding dress into a Christening gown
I am not sure if we are having a girl yet, but if we do I am thinking of having my dress made into a christening gown. Can anyone suggest anyone who does this. If you can FM pricing I am on a low budget.
TIA

I had this done - used Designing Dreams in Mineola, but they were not cheap. I think it was around $300.

Mine was pretty elaborate (42" skirt on the gown & a LOT of detail) and I paid $400. That included 2 hankies for DSs to carry on their wedding day, and 2 hats, a boy one and a girl one, since the gown in heirloom quality. The quality of their work is amazing, and I would recommend them over & over.

I had little-Jmommy's mom make it. It came out great! She did it very fast too!

Ah yes, the Dion. Great dress, difficult fabric. Designing Dreams was the ONLY dressmaker that would use the English netting. No one else would touch that part of the dress.
DS actually wore the dress. We did it in the traditional style, like my grandfather had back in Italy. It is actually modeled after his pattern & then detailed with the trim from my dress. I am glad my design is giving some inspiration! :)
