Wells Fargo for a Mortgage?
Does anyone have personal experience using Wells Fargo for a home mortgage? DH and I met with someone last night and all seemed pretty good and the guy was very helpful. I've spoken to him several times over the past few months prior to meeting in person.
But now I'm reading reviews online about Wells Fargo mortgages in general and it seems pretty bad.
Thoughts and personal experiences?

Our mortgage is with them, the original was done with them and we are in the process of doing our second re-finance with them.
Other than that my mortgage was randomly selected for an audit (they do this all the time... everything ended up working out and was ready on time for closing) everything went/is going smooth. I would recommend them.

Our mortgage is with Wells Fargo. We've never had any issues and our closing experience was a breeze.

We have wells fargo and love them. Everything including tax forms is online which makes life so much easier. They are awesome!

I was researching their reviews and a lot of people said that after they closed on a home their customer services was non-existant, they had surprise fees during closing which was never mentioned to them, and they were very hard to work with in general after closing.
I did notice though that these reviews were from all around the country so I have to take them with a grain of salt since it could just be that particular person they interacted with.

We have a Wells Fargo mortgage and our experience from the very beginning to present was & is very pleasant.
I recently had a question about a refi offer we received in the mail so I called my Wells Fargo guy and he spent a good half hour on the phone with me explaining my options.
He was/is AWE-SOME to work with. FM if you want his information

Didn't close with them, but our mortgage got sold to them.
No issues at all.
I call them all the time with questions, very little wait time, friendly, etc.

Our mortgage is with Wells Fargo, it was even a more complicated renovation mortgage, and everything went very smoothly. We're also refinancing with them now and so far so good!

I'm refinancing with them right now and it has been SO easy! I'm getting a rate of 3.875 nothing out of pocket!

We have our mortgage with Wells Fargo and we had no issues and still have no problems.
I work for a real estate atty and we work with the all the time and they are one of the better banks to deal with.

Never had a problem with them!
Worked with a really great guy out of Westbury office (by RF Mall)

I DESPISE Wells Fargo. My closing experience was a nightmare because of them. They kept saying "Just one more piece of paperwork" and it never was. It was ridiculous... The day of closing we didn't even know whether or not the bank was going to give us our mortgage. Thankfully with amazing lawyers we were able to get it. I will NEVER work with them again!

we went through another smaller private company and had a great experience. after we closed, our mortgage was switched over to wells fargo. ???
we have had no problems with them at all (knock on wood) so far, except when i called to find out about re-financing this summer, they quoted us something like $9000 just in closing costs!!!  so, we didn't do that.

i work in RE so i can tell you first hand that none of them are really good and there are hundreds of bad reviews guaranteed on every single lender out there.
we have wells fargo and are very happy with the online system they have to pay, get statements etc.
going through the process, i ended up hating and not trusting our mtg broker but that couldve been with any company.
i think they are just as good (or bad) as the next bank

Hated them during the process, but they have been wonderful after the fact... Our consultant even contacted us recently to crunch numbers to see if a refi would work for us... And one issue that I had with billing got corrected immediately... Had no probs with customer service

Had major issues with them when we were securing our mortgage...it took way too long and they were not on top of all the paperwork that I had to submit 2-3x...very annoying and frustrating...If I could go back I would not have used them
