Re: Were/are you the type of mom
Luca's door gets closed when he naps or goes to bed, so I guess him room is pretty quiet, but we don't lower any of our household noise. We'll still watch a movie (pretty loud) or vacuum when he's sleeping.

We make lots of noise - TV is always on, dustbuster, phone ringing, etc. However, once they are down at night - we are respectful of a good night's sleep (just as if we were sleeping) so we try to limit the noise.
This is what we do too. During the day I don't really limit noise. I will close her door, but still have the phone ringing, or do laundry - but she is a very light sleeper so sometimes we just have to be quiet.

I don't tiptoe or whisper when she's sleeping but I also avoid making excessive noise e.g. vacumming

Re: Were/are you the type of mom
imo, i couldn't tip toe around the house and be afraid to even sneeze, for fear of waking dd's....therefore, we made noise, and got dd's used to regular background noises. music, tv, washing dishes, etc etc....

Re: Were/are you the type of mom
Nope!!! with 5 cats and 2 dogs and they run and play like crazy, with family, neighbors and friends in and out- no quiet house here. she learned to sleep right through the noise. she sleeps like a rock now.

Re: Were/are you the type of mom
My daughter has also been a hard sleeper, she was never bothered by noise.
Good thing too.

Re: Were/are you the type of mom
we keep it pretty quiet these days - as DD is getting older she is becoming more sensitive to noise. when she was younger we could vaccum or whatever right near her - now the lasty 2 mths or so (she is almost 11 mths) she is a really light sleeper....if her naps get cut short the day is a horror show so we try to keep it somewhat quiet.
