We threw the majority of it into savings to replace what we took out to pay for the wedding.

we put all of it into savings. We continued to add to it for about a year & then used almost all of it to buy our house. It's totally worth it now- just not when I look at my bank statements

I said put it towards credit card debt. We had just bought a co-op and purchased a bed, couches, furniture etc. so we used it to pay all that off.

it was gone within a week of us getting home from our honeymoon  It was used for closing costs on our house..... ALL of it

100% of it was put into a money market account, to eventually be used for a downpayment on a house.
we are adding to it every month.

the majority went into a CD
we paid some bills off with the other part -- CC and some extra expenses from the wedding. we want to use the money in the CD for a house next year -- when DH starts teaching.

I spent way more on my wedding than we made in wedding gifts - so I just put it back in the bank to bring us back up close to our pre-wedding level.

We took half and put towards a downpayment on our home and the other half in savings.
We did not get much as we were married soooo long ago-lol!!

We had a modest wedding, so we were able to pay for it ourselves. The gift money we saved towards our house. It didn't pay for the house, but it did help with the closing costs!

We saved it for a 9 months. (We paid for our wedding all cash with some help from family...so no bills to pay afterwards)...Then used it in part for a down payment of our house.

we ended up with $5 K, which is not much compared to what a lot of people end up with... and we had just bought a house, so basically we spent it right away on furniture and new appliances
