What do I need to open a bank account for DS?
And do I need to bring originals of anything or can I bring copies?
Does he have to be present?

I remember need SSN, copy of Birth Certificate and DD was not present.

Same. DD was with me, but didn't need to be. Turns out DH should have been there to sign as the other person on her account. B/c he wasn't there he technically doesn't have access to her account, only me.
