What is the going rate for a babysitter??
We have an event to go to in Sept and I have a babysitter lined up but I am not sure how much to pay her. DD is 19 months old.
Its only going to be for about 3-4 hours...

I *think* it's $10.00 an hour but I actually haven't had to pay a sitter yet so I'm not positive!

Thanks...this is actually the first time I will be paying a sitter so I just want to make sure I do not short change her.

I am a certified teacher and I still charge most parents $10 - $15. I would say $10 is great!
