thanks ladies.
We do have insurance, unfortunately the FSA is due at 9 am so I will probably not be able to reach the insurance company prior to that tomorrow. I am familiar with our plan, we have a deductible so I am also accounting for that also.
I appreciate everyone's response.
Can you look @ your policy online?

I can. Go on your insurance site, there shld be a log in.. or you can register, you shld be able to view providers, check your policy, ect...

I want to say it was around $200 for the hospital copay and then we opted for a private suite, which was another $400? Now we have a deductable insurance, so I would guess when I get preggo with no. 2 we would probably meet our deductuabl before I even walk into the hospital.

I think it was $600 for DS#1 and $300 for DS#2.

We have a 250 co-pay. That was it, and I was there from Sun-Thurs (DD Tues-Thurs )

For whole pregnancy 1500.00 but that included a 4 mth stay, 11 doctors and 3 weeks Nicu for DD. Not bad for a 956K bill.
Yours should be way less depending on insurance you have.

All told it was about $500 I think, I have no copays but I have to pay 20% of all dr.'s and then 10% of the hopsital bill.
They lowered the hospital bill because the hospital charges for every little thing and the insurance paid a lot.
And then I had to pay 20% for all the dr.'s that saw DS while he was in the NICU - I don't remember how much that was.

I had a $100 copay for both me and the baby (yes, they charge another co-pay for the baby)
but in '09, this co-pay is going up to $300 so I assume the next baby, it will be $600 out of pocket for us

I would call, this will be covered under what most insurance companies call a wrap benefit. It is likely that they havent billed the insurance company yet because they probably dont have your insurance information.
