Re: what was your scariest moment since having your child/children??

I have a few, in Marron's 18 short months.

-While I was working overnight, DH was supposed to get up with her, and by accident, at night he turned the volume on the monitor almost all the way down instead of all the way up. So she was crying and crying for over an hour before I got home. I was calling the house every 15mins because I knew she usually got up at 7-7:30am and by 8:30 he still wasn't answering the phone, so I rushed home, and found her tear streaked face, all red, and she was just lying on her back in the crib, not crying anymore, but just doing that kind of gasping people do after crying hysterically for a long period of time. When I looked into the crib, she was so startled to see somebody that she screamed in fear. Chat Icon

-This past summer, I was in a "baby pool" with her, about 18 inches deep, and I looked away for a SECOND and when I looked back, she was face down in the water, sinking like a stone! Chat Icon

-And just the other day, I had gone shopping and was unloading packages from the car into the garage, and I knew she was right there playing in the driveway. I was in the garage for about 30 seconds to a minute, and when I came out I couldn't find her. I live on a very busy street, so I freaked out, then I heard the school bus coming down the street and the driver was honking!! I was terrified that she was in the street. I ran to the street and didn't see her. I also have woods all around my house so then I got scared that she wandered into the woods. I also have a flight of concrete stairs in my backyard. I was running all over my yard, crying, screaming her name, which she does NOT answer to, and I finally found her in the back yard playing inside her jungle gym.

That's enough for the next 18 YEARS, Marron. Thank you.

Re: what was your scariest moment since having your child/children??

I only have 2 thank Goodness
we were in my room I was changing and Dd was standing right in font of me and all of a sudden she was on the floor but hit her head on the corner of our dresser. I picked her up and her forehead was just blowing up as I ran outside with her to my DH. I had him call the ped and he said to wait and see how she was. We had to wake her up every hour to make sure she was alright. I lost it and kept saying I was the worst mother in the world.

The other was last week DD is 22 months old and she was standing on the couch which i have told her a million and 1 times not to do and I was sitting RIGHT NEXT to her and talking to my mom on the phone she fell off the arm part backwards onto the pergo floor. I threw the phone and ran to her she was SCREAMING and wanted me to hold her then kept pushing me away, she cried for about 10 minutes on and off. My mom was frantic on the line not knowing what happened because I threw the phone didnt hang it up.. Im in the medical field but when iits your own ALL BETS ARE OFF!!
