If that's not your house, I'd say it was definitely from that house. In one picture (it could be the angle) it seems like it would be difficult for them to get out of their driveway.
I agree with this.
I agree also. In the picture it looks like you're very close to the driveway.

I was thinking the same.

Re: What woul you do if someone put a note on your car?
While I would be skeeved if I saw a note like that on my car, from the pics you posted, it definitely looks like you are too close to that house's driveway and would be in the way of anyone trying to pull in/out. If your car was up maybe even 1/2 a foot more, then it would've been better.
Even though you have every right to park on the street there, if it were me, I'd probably try to not park in front of that particular house all the time, unless there was no other option.

Yes, I would think they are the creepy culprit.
I wish they would have handled it in a less bizarre way and just asked you to maybe move up a little if they felt that the driveway was too close to where you were. I mean, it's not that big of a deal - but to leave a note like that isn't going to solve anything!
You are handling it right - by trying to just diffuse this b/c God knows how nuts this person is and what they are capable of.

Looking at the picture, you are too close to their driveway. It's probably difficult for them to get out. I would park elsewhere to be honest, because you don't need any future issues. I do think it's a little rude to park in front of someone else's house because you have too many cars for your driveway/street in your neighborhood.

ITA with this. Try to park in front of someone else's house... but wow I would totally be creeped out. I think it's def. from the person who lives in that house.
ETA: I wouldnt leave a note on ur car to provoke this person bc u dont know how crazy they can be and they could mess with ur car. I also wouldnt try to find out who did it... I would just move ur car and park in front of another house and def not park that close to anyone's driveway bc it could be difficult for them to get in and out of.

Re: What woul you do if someone put a note on your car?
I would assume it's coming from that house/user of that driveway. Not sure why they needed to leave the obnoxious note though. I think they could have asked/written differently if in fact you are causing them an issue with their driveway. However, if they can't get in or out of that driveway they shouldn't have a license . But seriously, it looks like it could be annoying for them.

It would have been better to say: "Hey, Im having a little trouble pullingout of my driveway - can you move up a little next time? Thanks!"
If people park too close to my driveway (only if BOTH sides are blocked in like this) I have asked people to move up before and everyone has always been very kind about it.
PS: owning the parking spots in front of your house is my favorite long island phenomenon LOL

Re: What woul you do if someone put a note on your car?
HA! My mom is at war with her neighbor over them parking in front of our house. It's a little different because the neighbor and their tennants own like 3 cars each (2 vans as part of a dollar van service) and park up and down our street. We live on a 1 sided main road so by them parking on the street it does make it hard for her (or anyone) to pull in and out of the driveway. She parks in the street and has left her garbage cans out on the side to block a spot. This has been going on for months and cops have been called at times.
Anyway, if it were me, I'd just try to change up the house I park in front of daily. As for the note, I'd keep it but wouldn't look for who wrote it since it's pretty obvious that it's probably from the house that owns that driveway.

Re: What woul you do if someone put a note on your car?
It does look a bit too close to the driveway.
HOWEVER a polite "hi, could you try to park a little farther from the driveway" would have been a lot less passive aggressive and cryptic than the stupid note you received- with the added bonus of letting you know what you're doing wrong. It's almost like they just want to be an asshole, not resolve the issue.
I sort of hope you find another spot and a new regular with a bigger car takes over.

I would be creeped out, but I also would try parking in different spots to see if you receive the same note.
From the picture it does look like its close to the driveway but it's also weird that the person didn't include more in the note if it were the homeowner.

PEOPLE - you own the house..NOT THE STREETS SURROUNDING YOUR HOUSE! I hate this sh*t. I think you parked fine, AND if a centimeter was in their driveway they could have said it A LOT NICER.

even though it appears to be close to the driveway..there is definitely a nicer way to say it. If it were my house, I wouldn;t even leave a note I would just go up to the person nicely and ask them if they can move up a little bit next time..that's all.

Re: What woul you do if someone put a note on your car?
You have every right to park on the street - but I'm just curious, why aren't you parking in front of your own house?
The content of the note was ridiculous - A simplle "Please try not to park so close to my driveway" would have been sufficient -
In 'their' defense, you are way too close to their driveway

As someone who often has their spot taken by people going to the train station or other places, it's really annoying. I've been tempted to leave notes before, especially because there's a park across the street where they wouldn't be taking anyone's spot. I have a kid and a lot to carry in and out, so to have to find parking elsewhere because of it is annoying. I'd find another spot to park.
I get what you are saying. I live a block away from a school, so the teachers always park in front of my house.
Is it super annoying? ABSOLUTELY.
BUT, I don't own the streets. As long as they are not blocking my driveway (which from the picture, does not look like she is), I just have to be annoyed and move on with my life.
If she was, in fact, blocking their driveway every day, then a note saying "please move up, you're blocking my driveway" would have worked.
That note was just obnoxious and scary.

Seriously I'm my neighborhood (queens) that's plenty of room to get out. We all park very cozy. That note is definitely creepy and I'd avoid parking near that house again!

From the picture I'd say you're too close to their driveway. It's probably hard not to hit your car pulling in or out. If that's how your normally park then I'd assume that's what the note's about. I could understand them being annoyed by that, although the note is still creepy.

Seriously. In Brooklyn if you aren't kissing the side of someones drive way, then you get called on it for wasting space.

Absolutely. Which is why I haven't left a note for anyone. I just get overly annoyed and move on. But whwn there's ample parking right across the street where you know you wouldn't be taking someone's "spot", it's just courteous to park there instead. In the OPs situation, the way the note was written was completely unnecessary.

I have to say it's a Nassau phenomenon. Never even knew people thought the front of public road in front of their house as "theris" until I worked in Nassau county. All I can say is people are lucky I am at work and can't say the things to tehm I'd like to!!
