What's everyone cooking today?

I have cinnamon rolls in the oven. For dinner I'm making pasta with peppers and ground sausage.

Made home made chicken artichoke diary free pizza.
I went to the farm today for grocery pick up, so we have mushrooms, asparagus, potatoes, and chicken for dinner.

Re: What's everyone cooking today?

When this first happened I was making everything. fancy breakfasts and big lunches and dinners. Bread from scratch, a meat with multiple veggie sides, etc. I was also making so many desserts and snacks - cakes, cupcakes, brownies, strawberry creams, chocolate pudding...

after almost 38 days of this.... doing breakfast lunch and dinner every day 24/7... dishes up the kazoo, hard to go shopping to find ingredients...

Nowadays I'm like.... what can I door dash?? these are your choices LOL LOL LOL....

Lmao I totally get it. We have been ordering out a lot during the week while we both work from home. So I have been trying to cook more on the weekends.

Thai veggie burgers with spicy peanut slaw and fries with sweet chili dipping sauce.

The only homemade part is the dipping sauce.....everything else is from the TJs frozen section!

Everyone here makes their own breakfast and lunch; we all don’t eat the same things and sometimes at different times. For lunch I had half of an avocado on toast with everything bagel seasoning and a small salad. For dinner I’m making penne with crumbled sausage, broccoli, peas and garlic for everyone.

My DH eats one meal a day (dinner), my DD only likes Pb&J, frozen pizza, or mac n cheese for lunch, I just ate a left over slice of cheesecake with a handful of popcorn for lunch.

We never eat sit down family meals due to this.

So yeah, it's a free for all here

I"m making this apple chicken recipe I saw on MFP. I hope this wind stops so my grill doesn't blow out.

The non-stop cooking is ridiculous. My kids think this place is a diner which is my fault because I accommodate them. By the time dinner comes around, i want to freak out.

My DH doesn’t eat breakfast, he just has a handful of almonds with his coffee, and he makes the same thing every day for his lunch (ground beef with eggs). DD will make herself breakfast (bowl of cereal, a bagel or some sort of frozen waffle/pancake/french toast with fruit) and lunch (ham sandwich, peanut butter sandwich, yogurt, fruit, cheese and crackers, etc) on her own.

I’ve definitely noticed I am running the dishwasher a lot more often than usual though.

Keeping it simple tonight...salad & Trader Joe’s raviolis. It’s just two of us so I don’t really mind cooking every night. We’ve been getting up late so we have coffee at 11am, breakfast around 1pm lol....coffee around 4pm and then dinner around 7.

Tomorrow I’m gonna try a new crock pot chicken recipe I found on allrecipes.

We don't have a stove. We use the instant pot, grill, microwave, toaster oven, and steamer.

Hubby made pasta with meat sauce in the instant pot today.

I miss baking but I found recipes to bake in the instant pot, which I will be trying.

Re: What's everyone cooking today?

Today was leftovers.

Friday was fresh pasta with a tomato cream sauce. I went on a making fresh pasta kick on Friday and made a ton of fresh ravioli and a type of penne pasta.

Yesterday was Japanese. I made Yakitori, a salad with carrot ginger dressing, and Ramen eggs. I’m trying to use up things in my pantry.

I also want to add that I am single and alone (SO is not with me because of the quarantine; my choice because he has too many germs) . I am also a hobby cook and have a degree in restaurant management, so these things are things I like!

Made enchiladas today, finally found tortillas! The amount of dishes we’ve been using is insane. Thank god we got a new dishwasher in January.

Haha, thanks! It will die down this week when I start work (barely) back up this week. Next week I'll look into my Indian spices and see what I can make.

OMG, I thought the same thing! I'm single and I usually run my dishwasher 2-3 x per week (I rinse in between). It's been a lot more like 5 times a week.

Re: What's everyone cooking today?

Today DH made cicken Paprikash. Yesterday I made steak fajitas & made flour tortillas from scratch.
I also made cookies & i feel like i was in the kitchen from 4-10 pm.

We are msotly sleeping through breakfast & eating leftovers for lunch.

My hands are super dry from dishawashing, not regualr handwashing because i did that alot anyway & the soap i have isn't too drting, but the dishwashing & disinfecting everthing is killing me.

Our dishwasher works, but ee are ruunnign it much ore, and we have a ot of thigns we hand wsh. my microwave broke, and we could order one, but DH wants to see them in person.

Our dishwasher & fridge are really old, so I am praying they don't break.

What's everyone cooking today?

It's Sunday - I didn't have to cook. My DD made homemade rigatoni ala vodka.
