all 3 times, my water had to be broken by the doctor when i was at 8cm's.

Mine broke at home walking out of the bathroom. A pretty big gush but not enough to make a puddle on the floor.

I went into crazy mode and started cleaning and changing all the sheets in my house with a towel between my legs because I knew my brother and parents would be staying over to stay with my other kids.

My water broke in the hospital bed in triage- the attending had just finished telling me that I was only three centimeters dilated and she could not admit me- I insisted she call the doctor on call in the headache center since I suffer from chronic migraines and needed a plan in place incase I was in labor for a long time at home with a migraine--needless to say I was admitted and very thankful my water broke when it did because it was a huge gush and the bed and floor were soaked.

My sister's broke in the very early morning while she was asleep in bed and she woke up because she realized she was wet. They had put a waterproof mattress cover on the bed in case this happens and they were so glad they did.

Because of that we did the same thing!

1st broke in the hospital when they were checking my progress. I didn't feel anything.
2nd, I was in bed and felt an internal gushing. Ran to bathroom and into the tub. Made it to the tub and nothing on the bed or floor.

in my bed. but it wasn't a huge gush, more of a slow trickle so it wasn't a problem

First time, it didn't break on its own. The dr had to do it hours into labor at the hospital.

Second time, it broke on its own 10 minutes after arriving at the hospital. I had just laid down in the triage room. Had there been traffic on the way to the hospital, it would have happened in the car!! Gross! DH said we would have just gotten a new car.

2 - in my bed while I was sleeping! My mattress still has a water stain. Every time I change my sheets, I laugh...

DS1 - Broke when I was 4cm while be induced

DS2 - Broke at my parents house while I was picking my son up after work.

Well, mine broke about an hour before I started "leaking" actually…

I was in the bathroom and stood up and felt a popping sensation (and heard a pop too!) and was sure that was it. But I had no fluid, nothing.

An hour later, I was sitting in the dining room when all of a sudden I was in a puddle. Turns out my water had broken when I thought it had, but baby's head was all the way down and was like a cork in a bottle - then she shifted a couple of inches and the waterworks began! I was 41w by that point and so ready, I was really happy.

Doctor broke my water in the hospital when I was about 5cm dilated -- it didn't hurt at all but holy hell, my contractions went from totally bearable to OMG get me the anesthesiologist now. Once my water was broken, I went from 5cm to 8cm in an hour, then 8 to 10 about 30 minutes later.

Baby #1 my water started to trickle out in the elevator on the way up to labor and delivery. When I got in the bed I was already 9.5 cm. Doctor broke my water.
Baby #2, got to hopsital fully dilated and they broke my water again.

Mine broke at exactly 38w. I had been using EPO and it definitely sped it up, but then I was in stalled labor for 3 days.

It happened at home, in bed. It was like a little POP and then a whoosh of liquid. One thing I was TOTALLY unprepared for was the amount of liquid. Like, constantly gushing. Like a fire hydrant coming out of my hoohah. I was even leaking the next day in the hospital all over the triage floor

In the hospital on the way to L&D while getting sick in the waste bin next to the elevator. Originally I thought I had an accident because I was getting so sick.

for my first, my water broke in the middle of the night while I was asleep.
for my 2nd, I had contractions first and then my water broke in the car on the way to the hospital. we were in the parking lot and it just happened. had my son an hour later.
thankfully, I had put down a few liners on the seat, so we were good.
I was wearing white pants though lol

I woke up in the middle of the night to let my dog out and when I was climbing back into bed I heard a POP and felt a gush. I ran into the bathroom and sat on the toilet and started gushing water. I wore a few thick maxi-pads and sat on a towel while we drove to the hospital.

ETA - My water broke at exactly 39 weeks.

with my 2nd ....water broke in bed as I was sleeping at around 4-5am!
