Belk or Dillard-they are like Macy's and have a great tall man section. When we go to my mom's in NC, DH has a shopping spree!

Steinmart - like a Marshall's only better
It's not LI but there's a Steinmart in Atlas Mall in Glendale Queens :)

I live out in Rhode Island-we have a Texas Road House & 2 Cracker Barrels...we don;t have a WHITE CASTLE! I WANT ONE! I loooove their greasy little burgers--YUM!!

cracker barrel is another fav
perkins - but there is one in SI- I go there with my Aunt and Uncle

Cafe du Monde. Although if we had it, it would probably cease to be special pretty quickly.
Wawa also. They are generally not bad as far as these quick stop places go.

There is an Arby's in Fresh Meadows, Queens right off the LIE
Another vote for Cracker Barrell and Wegmans. Also having lived in Rochester I am a huge fan of Dinosaur BBQ and Nick Tahous Actually that might be a good thing that none of these stores are down here!

There is a Dinosaur bbq in Harlem. It was worth an hour and a half train trip to get there.

Three words- JOES CRAB SHACK!
I got there once or twice a year when we are in Myrtle Beach. DH and I LOVE that place. We loved it so much that we wanted to open one here and called the company to see if it's a franchise. It's not. 
And Kirklands. FANTASTIC and better than Homegoods! The closest one is in Poughkeepsie. When I go to my sister's place Upstate next time, I am stopping there.

Dairy Queen... without a doubt.
Also, miss Price Chopper. It's an upstate grocery chain. Used to do all my shopping there in college. Was recently upstate and they have this AWESOME gas advantage program. Bc of it, DH paid $1.59 for gas yesterday before we left (thank MIL!).
I'm an upstate girl & I'd have to agree with missing Dairy Queen & Price Chopper. Every time I'm up there I'm at both places!
I also would like to add Stewarts.

Yep. Kirklands is the best. Don't know why they aren't on L.I. Maybe someday.
