Who do you call for basement flooding?

Who do you call to troubleshoot a flooded basement? Is there someone I can call to figure it out and fix it for us?????

We have been in the house 5 years and never had water until recently.

Thanks!

They will all tell you to put in a french drain, which can be around 6k.

You can call Mark McAlpin. He was the most honest and will come to check it out.

I had an issue one time and it went away, and Mark said only to install one if it was a chronic problem.

The cheapest, easiest, and sometimes the only solution you need, is to make sure the gutters drains extend as far from the foundation as possible. The have various types of extenders to get all of that water away from the house. It only costs a couple of dollars, is easy to DIY, and if that's all you need, then you don't have to worry about anything else. If it doesn't fix the problem, it won't make it worse, and you're not out that much money.

Re: Who do you call for basement flooding?

We had some water when we first bought the house. We went downstairs in the first big rain and found all the issues.

Chimney: The liner was all cracked and Cap didn't fit properly

The Outside Entrance: The drain in the stairs was clogged. DH had to take off the cover and dig down a few feet.

A few places on the walls: It was just seeping in. We bought that basement waterproofing paint.

Since then, it's been completely dry.
