Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?
Regardless of what side you are for. Anyone else nervous for tomorrow's outcome. I know we may not have official result for days after but I'm afraid of how people will react if we get 4 more years with Trump. I'm afraid how Trump may react if Biden wins.

Re: Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?
It looks like businesses are more worried over Trump winning and the destruction and looting that the democrats have done over the past few months.
So very sad as all we can do is go out and vote for who we choose and for many cities to have to board up like this it is disgusting what we have turned into.
Horrible that people can hate one man so much that they will destroy their own country in one minute but lecture about peace in another.

Regardless of who wins, I am nervous. This election season has been very polarizing. I also think the election will not be decided tomorrow so we will be in a weird limbo state.
To the above poster, to say people are only scared that democrats will loot/riot is ridiculous. There are extremist on both sides who I am concerned about. I do not think it is determined by your political leaning.

Re: Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?
I’m more excited than nervous. I cannot believe how many people jumped at the chance for early voting. Lines spanning blocks. Taking hours and hours to get in and all the while smiling and chatting with each other. If you don’t watch the news and just watch people interact with each other - red or blue , we are the same. Americans.
On the Internet, totally different story. It’s the worst of the worst on either side playing keyboard warrior. Also the extremists make it all look so bleak. But the regular everyday folks - just want to live their lives together.

Honestly, I am so ready for it to be over. I really hope Biden wins, but even if he does not, I will just be so relieved to have it over and done with. I am sick of the abhorrent behavior on both sides.

This is where I’m at. Done with this whole election in general for the same reason.
I also been preparing my family for the chance that Trump wins. I’m surprised that many of them think there is no chance he will win again.

federal prosecutors have charged various supporters of a right-wing movement called the “boogaloo bois,” with crimes related to plotting to firebomb a U.S. Forest Service facility, preparing to use explosives at a peaceful demonstration and killing a security officer at a federal courthouse.
But the FBI's report did warn that people associated with a far-right social-media group had "called for far-right provocateurs to attack federal agents" and "use automatic weapons against protesters."
Politico also reported on Monday that a Department of Homeland Security intelligence note warned law-enforcement officials that a white supremacist channel on the encrypted messaging app Telegram encouraged its followers to incite violence to start a race war during the protests.
Citing the FBI, it said that two days after Floyd's death, the channel "incited followers to engage in violence and start the 'boogaloo' — a term used by some violent extremists to refer to the start of a second Civil War — by shooting in a crowd."
One of the messages in the channel called for potential shooters to "frame the crowd around you" for the violence, the note said, according to Politico.
On May 29, the note said, "suspected anarchist extremists and militia extremists allegedly planned to storm and burn the Minnesota State Capitol."
NBC News also reported on Monday that Twitter had identified a group posing as an "antifa" organization calling for violence in the protests as actually being linked to the white supremacist group Identity Evropa.

https://www.mprnews.org/story/2020/07/28/warrant-white-supremacist-instigated-looting-at-george-floyd-protest-in-minneapolis
An alleged white supremacist instigated an initial round of destruction in Minneapolis following George Floyd’s killing, breaking windows at an auto parts store and egging on others to loot the store before it was burned down, according to a search warrant for the man’s phone records. ... Community members have suspected for weeks that outside extremists, including white supremacists, were fomenting violence and trying to stoke racial tensions in the wake of Floyd’s killing by Minneapolis police officers. Several Twin Cities residents reported seeing white supremacist and other far-right imagery on vehicles that came into their neighborhoods during the protests. ...

Re: Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?
I ultimately am, but I quell it by taking action.
I've been text and phone banking to get out the vote.
When I run out of things to do is when I will really be a basket case.
I started a list of things that vulnerable people will need to do as a precaution if Trump wins again. I fervently pray we don't need it.
Action and preparation calm me.

Biden was not on the bus and they say some of these parades are blocking roads. None I have seen but I haven't seen them all. Don't think any of them were looting, rioting and burning things though.

Glad they have been stopped. Why are the left not being stopped destroying their own cities?

Re: Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?
I'm a little nervous about extremist behavior on both sides. The dramatics are insane. I can not believe how obsessed people are to the point they allow it to affect their personal relationships. I don't ever remember anything like this happening before 2016. Meanwhile, nobody seems to give much thought to local elections and those are the people who's actions have a direct impact on our daily quality of life.

Re: Who's nervous for tomorrow's outcome?
I wasnt but Im stating to get a little nervous and more so if Trump loses.
I expect him to win and I feel like those who are against him should not be to surprises and I don't know why there would be a protest or a need for one.
however if Trump does lose I think a lot of his supporters will not handle it well including Trunp I also fully expect Trump to encourage his followers to cause scene becuase he is big man child himself and cant handle being beat.
If that happens I will find it funny if they start protesting and rioting after all the bitchinggg i have heard from all Trump supporters about the current protests and riots!!
In the long run anyone who creates a scene on whoever wins needs to get a grip. Its 4 years then there is another election!!!

THIS. With so many lives lost and at stake.
The way science deniers have attacked others online and in person is gross and embarrassing. Even sites like this that are supposed to be about community and civil discourse have seen behavior that is impossible to unsee.
I don't agree with everything AOC does or says by a longshot, but she recently called out the far right for "performative stupidity" designed to bait others.
Just because people don't take the bait doesn't mean the big picture gets missed.

There is none of this nonsense in lower Westchester. Another mom mentioned ONE pickup truck with a Trump flag driving around saying "I just couldn't believe it! Where did it come from?! How did it get here?! I've never heard of such a thing!"
And I said "Either the Whitestone or the Throggs Neck."
