Getting less anxious as the day wears on. I have this feeling that the country is sick of it all and going to get back on track.

No more deaths from science denial.

No more vicious bullying.

No more human rights abuses.

We are OVER. IT.

Can't explain it--just feeling better.

Those who have engaged in and with all of the above and more have been exposed for what they are and look ridiculous. No more Emperor's New Clothes---for anyone.

More disgusted than nervous. This is the first election I am not voting in. I voted for Clinton in 2016, but I can't get behind Biden. And I sure as shit am not getting behind Trump.
Biden is is not strong enough to heal this country, and even if he were, it is going to take a lot longer than four years to repair this mess. I hate to say this, but I think we are royally screwed either way. God help us all.

This is such a shame. Everyone should vote. By not voting, you basically have no right to complain about anything for the next four years.

I voted Clinton in 2016 and even so I did not complain about Trump these last four years. Complaining doesn't change what is, so I see no point in it.
As for what the PP said, I will be voting for local officials, just not the president.

That is exactly what I tell my DH who refuses to vote.

Also, Naturalmama, I thought about not voting either but changed my mind because the local elections REALLY impact our day to day. We should absolutely vote for those who have great influence on our communities.

I am saddened with either outcome. I don’t think the country has hit rock bottom yet enough for true change. An establishment democrat being elected will not incentivize the party to change. I am disappointed in my peers and the “headline followers” of politics that don’t see deeply into the belly of both beasts presented to us. I really just look ahead and pray for 2024.

Same. When Ohio went to Trump, I thought it was done. But he’s still in it. It would be insane if Biden wins and breaks that 54 year steak. I seriously went down the election and history rabbit hole last night.

Ohio has picked the winning president since 1964. It should been 56 years, but obviously election are every 4 years so it’s not a straight 56yrs. The last time Ohio voted opposite of the winner was I believe for JFK. This is why when Trump won Ohio the last time everyone was worried Hillary was going to lose and she did. Obviously, this doesn’t mean Biden can’t win but he would be breaking the states streak of voting for the winning president.

It’s really close. Shows how divided this country is.

Eta: I believe only 4 dem candidates won without Ohio.

Funny how all of a sudden after Trump won FL and OH they found all these votes in Michigan and they called Arizona when they shouldn't have. What about Virginia? Another one that is incorrect also and they admitted it on TV last night.

Not everyone called Arizona. I’ve been watching CNN and they have not called it. Trump heard it from one or two networks, which, granted they should’ve not called it and he went on his rant.

Arizona is not done. And votes aren’t popping up out the sky. There are mail in ballots, provisional ballots, absentee ballots. States have different ways of counting their votes. You can see the percentage of where the states are at in their counting and the margin of where the candidates are.

Regardless who wins, you can’t want to count votes for some states and then stop it in others. That’s not the way this country works.

Eta: Trump is closing the gap in Nevada since last night. Are these votes that popped up out of no where too? or are those ok.

Does it really matter in NY though to vote? Especially if your Republican. Republican votes for president really dont count for much here. Charles Manson would be running as a democrat and NY would still vote for him only because of him being a Democrat.
