Jealousy. It's pretty funny how on a regular basis pro football players are arrested for drunk driving, beating thier spouses, drug possesion and a slew of other things, no one hates them. But let's hate the kid that has a strong faith. This world is so backwards and twisted.

i dont dislike him. I dont even know him... I didnt know what team he played for until last week... What i hate are the ridiculous amount of status updates on FB about him. I dont have one Broncos fan on my FB page either.

Its always VERY distasteful when someone comes out with hate in the guise of religion.
From Joel Osteen, to Tim Dolan, to Tim Teabow.
When you are in a position of authority and Role Model..and you TEACH that its OK to hate gays, I have no respect for you.
And by saying anything that is anti gay, you are TEACHING that its OK to hate gays. Yes the "words" they use are not hate, but it still has the same effect.
Lets be clear. They have a right to their opinions. Thank goodness we are in a free country.
But disguising your anto gay message behind religion? Disgusting. I find it hard to believe that G-d teaches its OK to hate gays. Doesent G-d accept all creatures?
RIP Tyler Clemente and EVERY man, woman and child who has commited suicide because they were gay.

i always wanted to ask (i know it may annoy some) but why pray at a game? Like if "god" is going to grant you something - a dumb football game is going to be it? Why not wipe out disease, famine, war.
Just like the emmy's you think god granted you that award because he thought you had mad acting skilz?

Live and let live.
Tim believes in god and praises him in games.....When have the rest of us believed in something so strongly as he did? He continues to get flack from so many people and still continues to praise god cause he's got strong faith.
if you listen to 96.7 its a christian rock channel. The people call up all the time praising god for helping them.

I really dont follow all of this football crap, but its hard to not hear about Tebow..only because of the media (social media included).
So i have to ask...aside from thanking God for giving him the ability to make great passes & play football well, how often does Tebow actually speak of God? In my mind, the media has blown it out of proportion (surprise surprise) & has made everyone feel like all that this man does is talk about God.

I agree. I like him. It's not easy to stand up for what you believe in. In a thread last month I said i felt that religion is under attack in our society and noone agreed. Tebow is the perfect example- he's being attacked for his beliefs Bc they aren't popular.

I didnt read the article but ITA with what you said. I dont know enough about him to like or dislike him but I do like that he is strong with his beliefs. So many times we give celebrities publicity for all the wrong things they do and I think it's great that he can be a positive role model.

I have a hard time accepting anyone or any organization that thinks it's ok to discriminate against a population of people (specifically gay/transgender).

Piss me off to no end. Those Muslims aren't holding up a football game. Tebow is. The Muslims praying isn't a PR stunt while I feel like Tebow's is.

I don't hate him I am just annoyed by hearing about him 24/7. I don't think he is all that just because he wears his religion on his sleeve. Great that he believes in a higher power and has morals but I really don't care that much and am sick of hearing about him and all the people that are doing the Tebow kneel thing.

as christians, we are taught to praise God for everything, small or large. i dont think tebow is saying that God made him get the touchdown, but God did bless him with the talent of football and for that i'm sure he is thankful.

Beside the religion thing, he is not a quarterback that should be starting in the NFL. He went on a streak of winning games for the team where people gave him gave him more credit then he deserves.
I asked my husband (a Broncos fan) his opinion & this was pretty much his answer. He doesn't hate him so much as he thinks his is not a QB & hates how the media talk aboutr him so much. He said there are so many other bad Qbs that you never hear about.
I asked if he disliked him because of he is a homophobe & he said he can't really judge him on his morality, b/c once you look closely at any NFL player, none of them would pass that test, as Mrs. Devito poined out.
