Oh no - I thought I was ready to return to work next month but reading your letter just made me cry at the thought of it  It was beautiful - but now I'm scared!

You will be ready - just don't expect to jump back in unaffected, as if nothing happened. Thats what I thought I'd be able to do!

You have a real gift for articulating your emotions- you should write a lot of these letters to your son. he will cherish them for the rest of his life.
You conveyed EXACTLY how I felt as a new Mom: scared, exhausted, overwhelmed, no schedule, etc. I too was happy to go back to work-but I am also changed forever!!!
I cherish my moments with DS sooo much more now than I did on maternity leave. I think I took my time with him for granted then, now I realize how special every moment is.

I bump this every June 4th to share with all of my fellow working mamas!
Be strong, and know that you are the best mommy in the world for providing for your baby, following your career path even when you are torn, and give yourself a break for not always being able to keep all of the balls in the air!
