6 AM - get up and get myself ready. Sometimes DH will wait around so I can take a shower-but usually I shower at night.

6-6:30 AM - DD wakes and I give her a bottle

6:30 AM - get DD dressed

6:45 AM - go downstairs, pack bag for day, do DD's hair

7:05 AM - leave the house Chat Icon

Re: Working Moms - what is your routine in the morning?

Get woken up by DD anywhere between 5:30AM and 7:00AM (it is very rare that my alarm sounds before she does). Get her from her crib and nurse. Take shower. Layout DD's clothes, get her stuff ready for the day, pack my lunch. Blow dry hair, get dressed - doing so as loudly as possible so as to wake up DH. Brush teeth w/ DD (always an adventure). Wake up DH who is still lying in bed.

DH gets DD dressed in the AM.

Out the door we go.

Re: Working Moms - what is your routine in the morning?

5:45-6am - get up (DH leaves the house at 5:45, so he usually wakes me up unintentionally) and get ready.

DD gets up anywhere between 6:30 - 7am. I get her dressed, sippy of milk and sometimes breakfast if she wants it. Otherwise she eats at daycare.

7:45-8am - we leave for daycare and then I go to work.

When I used to commute into the city I used to leave the house at 6:45 so the morning was much more rushed. Now, it's pretty calm. If she got up later, so could I! Chat Icon

Re: Working Moms - what is your routine in the morning?

When Rob and I were both working:

5am: Wake up, make breakfast and pack lunch for husband, pack lunches and snacks for kids, check homework, double check backpacks, double check boys outfits for the day.
6am: Shower, blow dry, personal hygiene stuff
7am: Check e-mails, clean up a little
7:30: Wake up kids, make breakfast for kids, oversee getting dressed, brushing teeth, etc..
8:30 bus stop
9- drop Noah off at Pre school
at work by 9:30

Now that Rob is a stay at home:

5:30am: Wake up, chill out, have breakfast
6:30am: Leave for work - sometimes stop at Starbucks

I love that he's homeChat Icon

I just wish we could afford to keep it that way!

Re: Working Moms - what is your routine in the morning?

In theory this is how it works. Lately DD has been waking up at 5/6am which has been throwing everything off.

5:00- alarm goes off
5:30-5:45- get up and shower
6:00- 6:30- Get myself ready and dressed(this includes watching the tv for a bit, you know to check the weather and stuff)
6:30 Get DD up while I go do my makeup
6:40- Get DD dressed, then I finish getting lunches together, make my breakfast (DD has it at daycare) and have a cup of coffee, DD will be watching tv and having milk
7:00- Do DD's hair, do my hair
7:15- leave
8:00- Drop DD at the babysitters
8:15- arrive at work

Re: Working Moms - what is your routine in the morning?

6:00 - DH and I get up and get ready, make bed.
6:30 - DH gives the baby a bottle and gets him dressed while I wake the girls up and get them dressed, brush hair, teeth, make beds. (Sometimes I need to call for back as my girls sometimes wake up on the wrong side of the bed to put it mildly and have tantrums over everything and "don't like anything in their closets", they are 2 and 4...can't wait until they are teenagers)
7:00 - DH usually has the girls coats out and breakfast, milk ready to go by the time we get downstairs.
7:10 - We all leave. I help load everyone in the car and then I am off to the city and DH drops all 3 kids at daycare.
7:20 - get on bus, take a deep breath and if I am lucky some sleep as my 4 month old has decided that he is still not ready to sleep through the night.

I have everything done the night before to make things a little easier in the morning. Bottles made, bags packed, paperwork filled out, etc. I have been started to have the girls pick out their clothes the night before in an attempt to avoid said tantrums mentioned above.

Re: Working Moms - what is your routine in the morning?

5:30am I get up shower, get dressed, make sippy for Clover, bottle for Paxton

5:45-6:00am Clover gets up dressed and chills out watching a movie on the couch with sippy

6:00-6:15am Paxton gets up DH feeds him bottle in bed then dresses him

6:15-6:30am Roman gets up dressed and joins Clover in living room were they both have some breakfast

7:00am out the door with all three to day care

Stop at DD for some coffee and at work by 8:00am.Chat Icon

It's actually not bad at all. I find the key is have EVERYTHING ready and by the door if not in the car the night before.

Re: Working Moms - what is your routine in the morning?

My dog is getting older and has bladder control issues, so its led to a whole new element to the routine:

4 am - wake up, let the dog out - watch her pee, then coax her back inside, go back to sleep

6:00 - DH gets up -showers etc.

6:45 - I get up, wash up, get ready

7:00 ish - Wake up DD, get her ready

7:15 - Feed DD, make my breakfast, lunch for the day, prepare DD's daycare bag

7:45 - check DD diaper for poop - if noneChat Icon - a IF there is one, then change her again.

7:45 - 7:55 - Coax dog from living room, set up gates to block Dog from living room, lay out newspaper, pat dog on head...

8 - out of the house

8:15 drop DD at Daycare

8:30 at office..
