I considered it but to actually buy donated breastmilk is very, very expensive. I wouldn't take just anyone's donated breastmilk. I would only use it from a milk bank.

I think its interesting, because what do you think that early people and cavemen did if a mother died during childbirth or a mother was unable to nurse their babies...you know the old saying "it takes a village" well ladies would BF their neighbors and families babies...its only natural really!

When my sister was a baby my mom donated breast milk to a baby that was very sick in the hospital and the mom was not able to nurse. My mom was a Le Leche League leader so it was all organized through them, and I remember my mom explaining to me that the milk could help the baby to live and save it's life, so as a child, without any ideas about how it might be "gross" or "wrong" I thought it was a wonderful thing.
I don't know if I could do it myself unless it was from my sister. However I do think that it could be a good thing.
