Re: Would you go? or am I just being unreasonable?
I wouldn't feel comfortable brining a newborn on a boat.

See if you can get someone to go with you to VT & watch the kids while you & DH go to the wedding. I don't think you would enjoy it as much.
ITA! Id be so nervous having an infant on a boat with no where to "escape" to if I had to.

I would not bring my 6 week old to a wedding at all, and especially not to one that was on a boat.

agreed! Too loud, too crowded and no place to escape to. Just not worth it, IMO.

Re: Would you go? or am I just being unreasonable?
I'm bad - I don't go to a lot of things. A very close friend of DH is getting married mid-July and I told him if he needs to make an appearance - go for it... I'm expecting to have my c/s July 29 and DD will be 14 months old. I'm just not even up to staying out that late anymore and I'm not even in my third trimester yet. With a 1 y.o. and one on the way - I'm just not up to partying unless it's for 2 or 3 hours, close to home and in the mid afternoon. I couldn't bring myself to bring a 6 w old to a wedding either. I think people have to understand - I would be concerned about the baby being overwhelmed or getting sick. I don't like a lot of people around until they pass that 2 month point. JMO.

I wouldn't, you don't have an option to leave when/if you want

Re: Would you go? or am I just being unreasonable?
I would probably say we will try our best, but we can't be sure until it gets much closer. Then I'd go with my gut and make a decision about a week before. If they needed a definite response before then, I'd say no. I'd also make sure that there was a quiet, private space on the boat where I could hang out with DC before even considering going.

Great suggestion - is there someone you can leave the kids with or that can go with you to babysit while you guys attend the wedding? If it were me, I would not be bringing a 6 week old on a boat. And since this cousin didn't attend your wedding, I doubt I would even be putting much thought or effort into trying to go
