Re: Would you let DC sleep in a crib that is 22 yrs old?
When my DS is at my mom's he uses the crib that my niece and nephew used. It was new in 1996. I was very reluctant to allow that and that is a lot newer than what you are talking about. DH and I inspected it after we read about what to look for. I read that standards changed drastically in 1992 or 1993. I just looked again and cannot find that info. I found info saying that in 1974 standards changed a lot. I would probably not use a 22 year old crib, as I am still not really comfortable with the one that is 11 years old.
BTW my cousin's wife is preggers, cousin will be 32 soon and my aunt found his stroller in her basement and wants to use it and says it is so much better than anything made today. It is all metal.
