(X-post) House hunting help, please recommend your town!
Hi everyone,
My husband and I want to start house hunting for our forever home, but I am not from Long Island and really need help picking a few neighborhoods. We currently live in western Nassau on the south shore. We have a toddler and are hoping to have more children in the future so a family friendly neighborhood with good schools is really important to us. I would love to have more property/trees/privacy but I don't want to move too far out- would consider western Suffolk. My husband works off Route 110.
Can anyone recommend any towns to start our search? I really appreciate any recommendations.

I heart Centerport. Great schools - access to larger towns (Huntington/Northport) and just an adorable feel.

Centerport is one of my favorite towns! Harborfields is a great high school as well.

(X-post) House hunting help, please recommend your town!
I live in Lindenhurst South of Montauk in the village... We love it here. Lots of family. A good mix of people and just an all around nice working class neighborhood. There is alwyas something going on for families here too.
