"Your a horrible wife"
This is what my friend just told me because DH and I haven't had sex since I was 5 weeks pregnant and I'm about to give birth any day now =( I was VERY sick for the first 20 weeks of my pregnancy and DH understood and never asked for sex or anything. I haven't even "helped him out" this whole pregnancy! I haven't been feeling good and have been so tired. She now makes me think my DH hates me for not doing anything for him. I'm just NEVER in a mood and can't get myself to even try and "help him" anyone else out there have sex or everything else sex related not even exist I'm their relationship right now?

wow first of all your friend is RUDE! Your DH sounds like he is very understanding and probably sees that you have been feeling like crap. My entire first trimester saw no action. I think my DH probably has carpel tunnel but he never tried anything because of the same thing, he saw how miserable I was. Ignore the opinions!!!

Ok no offense but she sounds like an idiot!  if you are then so am I!!! And MANY more of us. You are the mother of his unborn child- there's nothing horrible about that!

That's a horrible thing for your friend to say. DH and I did not have sex for the first trimester and I wasn't doing anything for him at all. Any form of sex completely nauseated my the first trimester and then I started feeling better by the 2nd and we would have sex more.
Do what you feel is right for YOU and don't worry about anyone else.

Your friend sounds like an a-hole. Does she have any kids? FTR, this is my seventh yes SEVENTH pregnancy and my DH knows he gets none during a pregnancy and you know what? He still loves me and he completely understands that I'm just not in the mood.

Completely normal! Ignore her! Until she is there she will have no idea! Plus each pregnancy is so different so don't worry. You prob wont have sex for a while after baby is born too.You will not be aloud for a while and you bleed for a while. Then you will be too tired.

Has your friend ever been pregnant??? Many people who haven't are a bit clueless which often leads to assholeitis.

She does. She has a DC the same as my first and she claims they went at it like rabbits her whole pregnancy.

Ok, I wouldn't have said it but def would have thought it.
Please... I think i forgot what sex even is lol. I'm 17w and we've done it twice since our BFP. I do very little for my husband as it is and haven't really cooked since thanksgiving lol. I do feel bad at times for not doing more in all area's but whatever... I'm having his baby lol, I'm doing plenty. During the first trimester eating and showering were big achievements for me.
Everyone is different but to make such a judgement isn't cool at all.

SHOWERING! Yes! So hard! Our DH's (for the most part) understand what this time period is like, and hopefully all of them are patient and helpful and geez dude you have hands, how about taking care of yourself? I read something on What To Expect today (I get emails daily) that really resonated. Our bodies pregnant are working harder AT REST than our pre-pregnant bodies worked during a RUN. That's a big deal. Good for your friend that la dee da she is absolutely perfect and wanted to have sex like a rabbit (um  friend thanks for sharing) but come on get off your high horse.
Besides, this is your second DC and she only has 1, right? Chances are when you're NOT pregnant you're doing it more than her anyways And maybe someone should remind her it's quality not quantity....if this chick claims she's having amazing sex 4 times a week well then there you go, right there, you know she's full of shit regardless!

I actually had a conversation with my husband because I felt guilty about it.
He told me he doesn't try because he knows how uncomfortable I am (and I'm only 25 weeks!). He said that he knows I'm tired, my back hurts and that Im not always feeling great and he understands completely.
What kind of friend says that????? Rude. Beyond rude.

Horrible wife! Who the hell is she? I haven't had sex with DH since 5 weeks as well I had bleeding every week and I just got my cerclage placed so now it's out of the question. My husband understands and so does yours. She needs to not say that to you. Bc she sounds like a horrible friend.  don't put any thought into what she said.

WOW!!!! There are no words on how your friend is behaving!!!! You are not a horrible wife..she is horrible friend for suggesting this. First, it's not her business what goes on your lives! And she had no right to tell you that! Has your friend ever been pregnant before? I am 18 weeks and I'm just starting to feel good! Shame on her for making you feel like that!!!!!

You are not alone and please don't feel bad at all. I agree with everyone that your friend should be labeled more of like a "friend" because no one would EVER say that if they truly cared about you.
DH and I rarely "do it" since I've been preggers. I was SO sick the first half of pregnancy and even kissing him made me throw up (because anything that went in my mouth, came right back out). As I'm getting bigger DH told me that he thinks it's weird and doesn't feel comfortable doing anything because he thinks he's going to hurt the baby (men are clueless). So while you might think you are a bad wife (which you aren't), he might not want anything as well.
I always say to my DH "I don't know how these women who say they do it like rabbits when pregnant exist! They have to be lying to make other women feel bad about themselves."
