I always say to my DH "I don't know how these women who say they do it like rabbits when pregnant exist! They have to be lying to make other women feel bad about themselves."
They do exist, I was one in my first and second trimester, but I would never make someone feel guilty for not doing it. And for the record, I do it for myself not because I want to be a good wife! Sex is something I do when I want to do it, I'm not one to give it up just to make DH happy... I just happen to want it more than most while pregnant.... I will tell you though, i leave the sink FULL of dishes, I don't vacuum, and I only cook if I feel up to it, so he is missing out in other areas!!! Just how it goes when I'm exhausted!! I keep telling him when he can carry a child he can complain!! haha!

Sex, who wants that? It's true what u said. I was sick as a dog in the beginning, then I got big, so it is very uncomfortable to move around. Plus, I do not feel sexy at all. Your friend sounds weird. Dump her.

Same, I would NEVER make anyone feel badly about it, but it has been like this pregnancy and the last one too...not towards the end but for some reason I feel like that, it has NOTHING to do with wanting to 'take care' of DH   I think your friend is crazy and rude!

A. Your sex life is not her concern.
B. She's an idiot
C. Worry about how your DH feels if YOUR DH brings it up as being a problem - otherwise, who cares what she thinks/did/ didn't do etc?

Your "friend" is completely our of line. Good for her that she was able to have sex her pregnancy, some of us are not so lucky. My situation is the opposite, I want to have sex, but DH is still too nervous ad wants nothing to do with it. Does that make him awful...NO! Just let her now that you are so Lucky that you have such an amazing, understanding husband.

How about " I am so glad you were able to have sex. But due to the enormous size of my hubbys penis the doctor said sex would cause me to have contractions! "

Same here. My hormones went wild so I had that experience. But, I would never not be understanding if someone had a different experience - everyone's situation, body, health, pregnancy, etc. is different. That's just very insensitive of the OP's friend.

It was kind of my fault for bringing it up. She's 25w pregnant and we are very open with each other so I asked if she has been in the mood with DH to do anything sexual and was hoping for a response of "no not really" but I got "we have a good sex life and when I'm not in the mood I help him out" my mouth wanted to drop when I told her I'm never in the mood and just can't even help DH when she said I was horrible wife really it makes me a horrible wife because out of all the years DH and I have been together we have a dry spell because of pregnancy? This happen with DC#1 but we did have sex a lot more then this pregnancy and I did help him out. Her saying this to me made me talk to DH to find out how he felt and he told me not to worry and he understands. It's not the end of the world that we haven't been sexual with each other. We still snuggle and kiss and are close so why am I worried? And he's right. Once I feel better after having the baby I know I'll be able to get energy to  and I won't be so HUGE!
