BC stopping it
If I only took BC for a month and dont want to keep using the same one, and at this point I honestly dont want to try any other one.
I went on it to regulate my cycles and make them lighter since my heavy cycles were contributing to my anemia. Honestly yes it helped make it lighter but now its day 8 and I still have my period this month. Not to mention the 15lbs I've now gained, yep it went up another 4 lbs from my post the other day. (and I've barely eaten the past few days due to my braces making my mouth sore)
I also dont want to keep having my hormones out of whack the way it was last month.
Is it dangerous to just stop using the BC and not go on another one since I was only on it for a month. could I have some sort of reaction or something? i'm not too familiar with all this, and I'm trying to decided what to do before my dr. appt today.

Re: BC stopping it
not at all! i stopped after being on them for almost 10 years, in the middle of the pack (i did see my dr though) my period was lasting 15 days i had such severe migraines it was doing more harm then good, there's no problem stopping in the middle at all!
I have to say I feel sooooo much better beig off of them. my face breaks out a little worse now, but my period is a lot shorter and sooo much lighter. FM if you want to know any more details

Re: BC stopping it
it shouldn't be a problem at all. i would talk to your doctor about other possible alternatives though.

You shouldn't have a problem. But, I would recommend trying another one. Some people can only take certain brands.
For me, I've found OrthoTriCyclin to be the only brand I can tolerate. Thankfully I can also tolerate the generic form of this BC pill. I have lost weight on this pill, not gained any at all, and my moods are normal.
I had also tried a few other brands and they didn't agree with my body at all.

which have you tried? I'm only on this to help with my cycles, but honestly I'm now on day 8 of my period since starting the BC and as light as it was now today its heaviest than its been all week honestly Id rather deal with the heavy cycles than what I've had the last month
