Night terrors

When did these start with your DC?

DD is 2.5 and over the past month there have been a few nights where she has woken up screaming...not a typical cry, but a shriek! Screaming ofr Mommy and Daddy.

I imagine these are night terrors. Anything we can do to help her? How long do they last??

Re: Night terrors

DD is around the same age and started doing this as well. I was told that is she is still sleeping, let her be. If she is awake, comfort her and try to get her back to bed. Most of the time when this happens she is sleeping.

Re: Night terrors

I just posted about this yesterday. My son is 21 months and it started about 2 weeks ago. Weirdly enough out of nowhere he didn't wake up in the middle of the night, so lets see how tonight goes. The most important thing to do is to comfort them, my ped said not to let them cry at all.
