My basement remodel!
my husband and I live in a raised ranch so our first big project in our house was to convert our dusty cement basement into another floor in our house. We got many estimates but in the long run decided to go with Al Casas. I can not say enough good things about Al and his crew. Not only was his price very low compared to other contractors but he is so nice and helpful. Our whole basement cost us 11,000 in labor. He put in a half bath and did all electric plumbing etc for that price. We are so happy with the end result. I was waiting on a few doors that I ordered which Al is coming back to put in on wed so I will post more pictures once we decorate and are completely finished but here are some of what we did so far!!
I LOVE MY BASEMENT NOW!

if anyone has any questions feel free to ask, I saved every single receipt :)

That color looks like the color we just painted our master bedroom. Is it BM New Hope Gray?

Really? I had no clue. I have recommended him on this site many times (and to all of my family and friends). Al and his team have done many jobs in my home and I am very satisfied so are the people who have used him. I am sad to learn others may have not been pleased. I am wondering what they were unhappy with. Would you mind sharing? Any information would be helpful ... just as a learning experience.

I didn't. We're doing some carpet and some laminate, but not allure. I can't wait to post pics!

besides being extremely slow, they waste supplies
ex. Painted the wrong color
in some rooms-
put in the wrong toilet bowls in the 2 bathrooms, was told that the toilet was wrong shape buy another one, only to see the next day the toilets installed in the wrong bathrooms again- they took them out and again messed up on where to put them. Plus they threw out the box and it cant be returned -
the kitchen they did not measure the base cabinet right and drilled holes and again threw out the box can not return.
- put wall tile on the bathroom floor.
This is a few hundred dollars of materials.
-never removed the vanity when titling the bathroom, they went around it.
The bathroom door does not shut correctly
I'm sure there is more they are not done yet.........
who knows it can be a language barrier
by the way I did not use him, I just recommended him based on this site from other people
for some people this may be no big deal but it does become frustrating

I can see how that is upsetting. I hope, in the end, everyone is happy. I can only speak from personal experience that I have not had any problems with Al and his team but I'm sorry to hear someone having a bad experience.
