Sterilizing Bottles/Pacifiers...?
I feel like this is a silly question but how do you do this? I don't have a microwave sterilizer so I'm going to have to boil water.
I'm assuming you boil water, turn off flame ...and put in actual bottle and nipples or just the nipples? For how long?
Such a simple task and I'm probably complicating it!
Thanks!

Re: Sterilizing Bottles/Pacifiers...?
What I did was fill a giant pot with water, put all the parts in (nipples, bottles, caps, etc), then put the pot on the stove until the water started boiling. I left it on a high boil for 5 minutes, then turned it off and let it cool an hour or two before putting the parts on a drying rack. I only did it each time I got new items -- I hand wash almost exclusively. I reboil nipples or run them through the sanitizing cycle of the dish washer every 6 weeks or so.

Re: Sterilizing Bottles/Pacifiers...?
This is what I did as well. I actually got a microwave sterilizer at my shower, but it looked like too much of an effort to me, and DH didn't feel comfortable with nuking the babies things, so I just went the old fashioned route and am going to return the sterilizer.

Re: Sterilizing Bottles/Pacifiers...?
I had an avent counter top sterilizer and was too lazy to figure it out so I boiled everything in a pot of water for the first 2 weeks until I poured boiling water on my hand in a sleep deprived daze! I then set up the sterilizer and it was the BEST thing I did. I got into a routine of washing the bottles and putting them directly into the sterilizer and running it every nite. It was so quick and easy. I highly recommend getting one if you can. I've seen used ones on eBay for cheap.
