BTDT Moms who were induced...
I am 1 & 1/2 cm dilated, not sure how much effaced I am. My dr said I am thin and soft. I am being induced on Friday and was just wondering if those of you who have been induced were all given Cervidil or just pitocin?

I was around the same dilation and had 50% effacement. I had Cervadil and then Pitocin.

cervadil, then two rounds of pitocin. then i pushed for 8 hours.

I'm 2 cm and 70% effaced, and as far as I know I'm just getting pitocin. I sat with the nurse who called the hospital and schedule me, and only heard her side of the conversation, but she just named "pitocin" and not any other drug.
My friends who got cervadil were told to come in at night. They were given cervadil and a sleeping pill, and pitocin in the morning when they were dilated. I was told to come in at 7 am. When did they tell you to come in?

I was given cervadil AFTER my water broke b/c I wasn't contracting. They said labor could take up to 48 hours. DS was born within 8 hours.

I was told to come in at 8 am on Friday. My friend who uses the same dr and hospital also had to be induced and she was told to come in at 9am and they gave her the cervadil then the pitocin. She had her baby girl at midnight. She was only a fingertip dilated though so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I was 2 weeks late and not dilated at all and no effacement (sp?).. got the cervadil and pitocin. .
