Did you or are you planning on vaccinating LO for Hepatitis B?

We did for our first and will for the next. We did not have it done in the hospital, our ped. told us to wait for the first appointment.

We did.
We might have waited for the first peds appointment since that's what they recommend, but our LOs were admitted to the NICU after birth and we had no way of knowing how long they'd be there.

We did with DS but not until 2 months when we started his vaccinations. I personally didn't feel it was necessary upon birth.

DS got it at 2 months as part of a combo vaccine at the pediatrician.

Definitely not when he is first born. I don't have Hep B, neither does my husband or anyone who will be in proximity to our newborn...so unless the baby is going to run out and have wild shex or use intravenous drugs, he will be fine.
Everyone should do their research on vaccines and come to their own decisions.
ETA: we will eventually vaccinate him, just not until later.

Did not give DS shot I'm hospital I waited for first doctor appointment. I will be doing the same with this baby. I personally don't see the need for the Hep B shot so young. I didn't get one till I was 20 and working in a hospital. Both me, DH, DS and other immediate family are vaccinated. Why give it to DS so young? He won't leave the house really for a good two months.

We are planning on waiting until the first pediatrician appointment. Our doctor said unless the parents have it there is no need to give it to the baby as soon as they are born so we decided to wait. I think the only thing they get other then that right away is a vitamin K shot.

No they ask you first and you can decline.

Pediatrician said to decline it birth and that is what we did with DS #1 and what we'll do for #2
