Re: pastina

I boil veggies with the pastina, then mash it up with a potato masher so they are all pretty much the same size. You can add carrots, beans, zucchini, squash, broccoli, potato, corn.. pretty much anything! My DS loves it so much!

Re: pastina

Boil it for 8 minutes, add very little milk, a little butter and that should make it tastier and mushy enough....HTH!

Yes, absolutely!
You pretty much mix pastina with anything and it will taste good!
I sometimes strain it and mix with ricotta cheese and my DS loves that as well

Re: pastina

To start with- I boiled it for 6 minutes per the directions on my package but other ones might be different

to get him used to it- I used a jar of pureed carrots over it (his favorite) and added some parmesan cheese & basil

if your dc has a favorite veggie, try and incorporate that- will help them to like it better plus they get the extra nutrients

Re: pastina

Some ways I make it:

- with some butter and grated parmigiano cheese

- with minestrone (I pass the broth in the food processor for a few seconds to puree the veggies)

- with pureed spinach and a little bit of a soft cheese

- with steamed veggies - butternut squash, zucchini, peas, carrots etc little bit of butter
