Cavity question...
I've never had a cavity in my life. 2 weeks ago i went for a check up and was told I have 3 cavities. I heard its possible for the chemistry in your mouth to change after having a baby?
anyway...ive known my dentist since he's 7, but it was my first time using him as my dentist. so i trust him that he wouldn't just tell me i have a cavity.
he filled the cavities and for the next few days i was fine. then whenever i ate on the side with the cavity it hurt one tooth. i went back to him yesterday and he said it can take time for the sensitivity to go away or i just just have him take out the filling and put in a new one. since i travel a half hour to him i opted for him to take it out and put in a new one.
it still hurts today. is this normal? do i give it more time? he stops taking my insurance at the end of this month so i need a new dentist anyway. grrrr

Re: Cavity question...
This sometimes happens especially if the filling was deep.
Try using sensodyne for a couple of days that should help with the sensitivity.
My husband had sensitivity after a filling for almost 2 weeks - he was SURE the Dr. missed something and needed a root canal, but it finally subsided and the sensodyne helped him cope until it did.
