Halo Collar
My 90 year old grandma fell and fractured her collar bone. On top of this, she has dementia. They need to put her in a halo, but she is very agitated and ripping her tubes out. Do you think they will have to sedate her to do it? Does anyone have experience with this on an older person? She will most likley be going into a nursing home after this beacuse she really needs the constant care.

Re: Halo Collar
FIL had a Halo, but he wasn't that old (early 60's or so), and he was compliant, so I don't know the issues with a defiant wearer. I do know that if you sneeze the wrong way, you loosen the pins in your skull, and you have to get them redrilled....
