Can someone share there split pea soup recipe?
I use 1 bag of dried green peas, a few cloves of garlic cut in 1/2, 1 large yellow onion chopped, a little salt/pepper in the begining. I bring it all to a boil then reduce to a fast simmer. I add about 6-8 hot dogs when it starts to thicken. My mom was raised in a Kosher home and didn't use ham. FYI, I use the same recipe for lentil soup.
ETA: The bag usually tells you how much water - I think its about 4-6 cups?

I have a delicious recipe; but it's using the Crock Pot. If you are interested; I will FM you. The Smoked Ham Hock really gives it that flavor. Then you can just discard it once its done cooking if you don't want the meat. Stop and Shop sells about 3 or 4 of them in a package for under $5.
