Cookie Butter??
I have never had this but see it mentioned a lot on this board. How good is it? Is it worth a trip to TJ even if I have nothing else to get there?? I would go just to try it!!

Cookie Butter??
It's pretty freakin awesome. I've gone to TJ's just for it. And I heard a rumor that they now make it in a crunchy form. I can't wait to try that one!
Something similar is Biscoff Spread which can be found at pretty much every supermarket near the PB&J. IMO TJ's is better though.

Re: Cookie Butter??
Get their Belgian waffles!!
I spread the cookie butter on the waffle, add a scoop of ice cream (Creme brûlée flavor) and I sprinkle coffee bean /chocolate/salt (tjs grinder, found in the spices. It's either salt or sugar) over it. Deelishhhhh

Cookie Butter??
I eat it either with a spoon, on waffles, or on Magic Pop rice cakes.

Re: Cookie Butter??
I must be the only one who doesn't like it! I find that it takes like gingerbread. I had one spoonful and had to throw the rest out. I couldn't even force myself to eat it.

Re: Cookie Butter??
When DH and I first bought it we were slightly underwhelmed - we were expecting "bigger" flavor I think. But then we kept eating it, and couldn't get enough It doesn't taste anything like gingerbread to me, but it's also not too sweet. Love it and can't wait to come back to NY to pick up more!

It tastes great as a replacement to peanut butter in cookie or brownie recipes

Re: Cookie Butter??
I tried the crunchy one the other day and O M G Even better than the smooth if that is possible. This stuff is amazing. I just eat it off a spoon- to me putting it on anything just diminishes it. It is meant to me enjoyed on it's own!
And I can't stand gingerbread- but to me this tastes nothing like it. It's a very hard taste to describe. But majorly delish

Re: Cookie Butter??
I wish I didnt buy it yesterday Its in my kitchen cabinet halfway empty Its calling me now. I raced through dinner so I could eat it. I will go to sleep thinking about it I wwill wake up thinking about it.
My advice: if you see it in the store, look away. Keep walking. You'll thank me later.

Re: Cookie Butter??
I like it, but honestly, have to be in the mood for it.
But I don't know how you can make it out of TJs with only that.
I can't make it out of TJs without spending less than $75-$100 most trips.
Especially since the one by me is out of the way.

Well if you eat it like you are supposed to- one serving- no. But the issue is it's pretty much impossible to eat just a spoonful and you wind up eating half the jar- so in that case, yes!
