T-Ball/Little League registration
DS is in kindergarten and there was a flyer in his folder about signing up for Little League. Since he wont be 6 until Sept., he will be in T-Ball which is great so he can learn how the game is played before actually worrying about hitting the ball.
Anyway, we are in Lindenhurst... anyone have any info about the program? I know it said that registration was $80 but are there additional fees? Do we have to buy all the equipment/uniforms? How long is the season? Anyone from Lindy signing up their DC's?

Re: T-Ball/Little League registration
We are in NJ and I just signed up DS for little league as well. The cut off here is 5 for T-ball and since DS is 5 he will be in t-ball. I am really thankful for that too. Our costs are so much more. $115 for registration and another $150 that you can ask for back at the end of the season or else it is considered a "donation." It is the bond for volunteering and apparently all families must volunteer. I am assuming I am responsible for buying my son cleats and a cup. I know they give them a uniform and a hat. They seemed really strict as registration was open for one week and they were able to field 4 teams for my son's age group. I am not sure when the season starts or ends but for us practice is on Friday's after school and games are on Saturday mornings. Honestly it seems a bit intense for me but he asked to play and sports are good for him. I hope he enjoys himself.

T-Ball/Little League registration
I also live in Lindenhurst and my son has been playing baseball for Lindy American Little League for 3 years already and this will be his 4th year. There are 2 different leagues in Lindenhurst. There is Lindenhurst American Little League and Lindenhurst National Little League. Since we live North of Frank St we belong to the American Little League and South of Frank St belongs to National Little League. For my son the payment included the uniform but you have to buy the bat, glove, helmet, cup protector, cleets. Like I said at the beginning we are on the Lindenhurst American Little League and that's what we had to buy for my son to play. When we register we get raffle tickets to sell to family and friends that equal the amt of the registration fee and we keep the money and give the raffle tickets to the league so at the end of the season they raffle stuff off. So its like you r getting the money back that u spend on the registration.
