Vitamin D deficiency and M/C
My PCP just sent me a letter saying my Vitamin D is extremely low. She also included a prescription which I'm gong to fill. Did a quick search and it indicates that Vit. D can be a cause of recurrent miscarriage. Does anyone know anything more about this? I think it can maybe finally be an answer to why I had 3 mcs this year so I'm feeling somewhat hopeful

Vitamin D deficiency and M/C
I too have low vitamin D. I take 4000 IUS over the counter daily. I don't think thats our real issue bc I had 8 procedures with my RE and only one resulted in a positive which was a chemical. My vitamin D was checked a month after being on the 4000 IUs and its normal. I have been taking the vitamin D since February. Make sure you have it retested after you have been on the vitamins. GL

Re: Vitamin D deficiency and M/C
I think something like 90% of Americans have a Vitamin D deficiency in the fall/winter, because you get Vitamin D from sunlight. They just started testing for it a few years ago. When I was pregnant with my first, my OB told me that he didn't have patients whose levels *didn't* come back low.
I do hope that you find a quick fix, and I hope this is it. I just don't want you thinking there's anything weirdly "wrong" with you.
