as you see already, you're definitely not alone.
I start my 1st countdown around 11, for her 12:30 nap.
then my 2nd countdown usually starts around 4:30... just. need. to. make. it. to. dinner.
once 5:30 hits, it's dinner and she watches a little tv, bath, bottle etc. but 4:30-5:30 is usually rough. I try to have a playdate or an errand or something to get us through each late afternoon lol

Your so not a bad mom im the same way... some days i count down until naptime and them around 4-5 i start counting down until bedtime ...

I will be honest, no. This is only because I run out of the house after his second nap. We walk to stores, park, supermarket, etc. Or, I get in the car and go. If you can't do that, then maybe try setting up late play dates, so the afternoon becomes more fun and your child is entertained from someone else.

Omg! The whining, the screaming, the fits of rage and the fighting I'm usually done by 3:00. This is DH's busy season so he doesn't get home until after 10 most nights so it's just me day in and day out. I need a break!
I don't know how you do it!!!!!!!!!

Most days I start the countdown to nap time at 9:30am then when he gets up from his nap at 4:30 I countdown the hours till bedtime.
