Dramamine for a two year old??
Has anyone used Dramamine for a 2 y/o?
My lo gets car sick, sometimes even just driving to Queens!! We are going to visit family in North Carolina in a few weeks and are planning to drive. Flying for four is quite pricey.
Looking for anyone that has used the meds and any pointers or advice.
TIA

Re: Dramamine for a two year old??
Consult your ped but ours gave us the ok at age 3. We thought Munson was getting car sick but only on one way of road trip. His is more related to his sinus
Look up online natural remedies. I bought a peppermint oil that goes behind his ears that works & also eating ginger cookiss

Re: Dramamine for a two year old??
The natural remedies do nothing for my daughter. They make a chewable kids Dramamine for ages 2-12. I would ask your ped but that is what we use.

The childdrens Dramamine is good for 2-12. I use it with my 4 y/o son. It can make them tired, but that isn't a bad thing. I would try a 1/2 a dose beforehand and see if it works.

Have you tried things like lollipops, lemons, lemonade, ginger bread men, ginger candies, or sea bands?

DD gets carsick, and we use the chilldren's Dramamine. It definitely is drowsy, she sleeps a good 2-3 hours when she takes it.
ETA - for a 2 year old, I would just use 1/2 at a time

Talk to your doctor. We have our daughter kids dramamine nd shes 3. She would get car sick and we would put the sea bands on her. That seemed to work.
