bed transition????
How did you know it was time to transition your child to a bed? Beyond climbing out of crib...

Re: bed transition????
Basically, DS was climbing out and I was concerned about his safety. At the same time, he became interested in being a big boy and sleeping in a bed. It all kind of happened at once.

bed transition????
We switched my DS at 2. He is a crazy sleeper and moves all over....We just felt he needed a bit more room (never climbed out).
HE was so much happier in a bigger bed (twin)

Re: bed transition????
My twins are just over 3 and still in cribs. They also still take naps. they wear diapers for sleep only. Neither is climbing out. I feel that if I put them in beds We would completely loose nap time and sleep time would become play time.

Most of this.. transitioned DD at 3 years, 3 months "just because". She could have stayed in that crib forever but it just seems like the right time. No issues at all and she had (and at 4, still has) no idea she could leave her room if she wanted to!

Re: bed transition????
I am trying to keep DS in as long as possible (He's 2). He did try to climb out so we lowered the mattress even more. I know once he is out of a crib he will be all over the place.
