Can you eat pesto sauce cold?
I was going to make an orzo caprese salad and since it is hard to find fresh basil sometimes, I was wondering if I can use pesto sauce as the dressing to get the basil flavor in there.
What do you think?

I've bought Buitoni brand and it was delicious! The cost was a bit much at $7 but I don't make it too often.

I eat it by the spoonful right out of the jar, so yes, absolutely.
ETA: Mmmmm this is also one of my fave garden things to make and eat the same way.

I usually make my own but sometimes I'll buy it pre-made from the Italian deli near my house. Sometimes I use pesto as a dip for crostini or as a spread for my sandwich. SO good!! Pesto is pretty versatile.
