24 hour urine collection
has anyone done this?
when did you get your results? did they do it right in the office?
what happened when you got your results?

24 hour urine collection
crashing, I have done this many times but not for an ob-gyn. If it is the same as urology they usually send it to a lab and it takes at least a week for results

24 hour urine collection
My ob had me do it when he prescribed my prenatal bloodwork to get a baseline of the protein in my urine since I was borderline preeclamptic when I had DD. I brought in my jug to the lab on Saturday but when I went to my spot the following Friday, 6 days later, they didn't have the results yet.

I did it because I had high BP throughout my pregnancy so they wanted to check for protein. Also before I was pregnant I did one to check what my kidney stones were made of.
you have to collect your urine in a jug for 24 hours. In between collecting the jug has to stay in the fridge.
Then you drop the jug off at a lab. They send results to your doctor in a few days.

i got the jug from the hospital and they told me to drop it off at the dr.'s office.
