talk to me about HCG shots
I have to go in for an IUI in 2 weeks. Im supposed to do an HCG shot 2 days prior.
i've never had one before. WTF am I in for?

It's pretty easy. I had hubby inject me the first time because I was a little nervous but I got over it. You inject an inch from the belly button. Pretty skinny needle, No side effects. You'll be fine.

talk to me about HCG shots
depends if its IM or subQ (IM in your muscle vs in your leg or belly fat). Either one takes less than 10 seconds and it's over. no side effects other than you ovulating ~48 hours later

No side effects from the trigger. It just makes you ovulate.

Sure is. That's how I will be doing it in about a week :-/
My old re said the same thing and then I saw a new one that said studies show it gets absorbed better into your body. Who knows. Lol
Not sure why the quote didn't come over but it was in reference to the comment that IM is not used anymore.

The trigger shot is about as easy a shot as you can get! Piece of cake! Only side effect is that it'll make you ovulate, which is of course what you want!

It's all psychological. Physically, its over and done in a jiffy. The blood draws at the clinic are worse than the trigger.
No side affects that I can remember.

I found watching the freedom fertility video on Youtube was helpful the first time I had to inject myself w/ the trigger. Good luck!
