Bottles for a breast fed baby
What bottles worked best for your breast fed baby ? I'm trying to give DD (6-7 weeks old ) one bottle a day To prepare for when I head back to work but she is having a horrible time with the bottle / nipples that came with the medals starter kit Any recommendations ??

Re: Bottles for a breast fed baby
DS does really well with the MAM bottles. They're a pain though because they have 5 pieces. We tried tommy tippee which he died ok with but doesn't get a great latch. The born free bottles kept collapsing on him. I want to try the Avent also.

I'm no help because my DS took to the Medela ones. I will say though that at that age he had a hard time with bottles due to the fast flow so I had to feed him very slowly.

Always Playtex drop ins....stayed on fast flow nipples from birth until they were done with the bottles. I tried switching the nipples and my son used to gag.

If you go to BRU the platter drop ins have different kinds of nipples. I didn't bf but dd 2 had trouble with the dr Browns which dd 1 took no problem. Dd2 did really good with the drop ins and I love them b/c easy to clean. DS now 2 months is on the drop ins as well but slow flow he has to work hard but the medium flow is to fast. I would go check them in the store. All the different shape nipples

Re: Bottles for a breast fed baby
We don't use bottles and at this point I don't think there's a need anymore, he's 11 months. But when I was contemplating in starting, a lot of moms in my mommy groups recommended Comotomo and Mimijumi bottles.

I use Lansinoh bottles and I know a bunch of other BFing moms who had trouble finding a bottle had luck with Lansinoh too.

Both my breastfed babies did great with Advent bottles, my son with the original bottles and my daughter with the natural bottles.

Re: Bottles for a breast fed baby
My granddaughter did well with the Munchkin Latch bottles. She would drink from them, which we tried after a lot of others she wouldn't take. Good luck!

Lansinoh mOmma and Playtex Nurser with DropIns
She did not do well with Avent Natural, Joovy Boob, or the Medela bottles.

Re: Bottles for a breast fed baby
We use Avent Natural. DD had them very early on- maybe 3/4 weeks since my nipples were SO sore and needed a break. We never had to try any other types.
ETA: And she went right back to the boob with no issues either.
