If you delivered at NS or LIJ, Birth Cert question
How long did it take you to get your child's birth certificate if you delivered at NS or LIJ within the last year?

Almost 2 months. I actually posted about it at the time because it was much longer then my first DD.

Forever. My peds office had to re-bill multiple visits because I couldn't get her on the insurance without it.

I got the birth certificate pretty quick if I remember correctly -- delivered at LIJ Katz. I'm thinking 5ish weeks?

It has nothing to do with the hospital - assuming they sent it out right away. During more busy times of the year it just takes longer to process. All of the records go to the same place, not by hospital.

Delivered at both hospitals and it took about a month to receive the BC but less time for the SS

TOOK FOREVER from LIJ. They waited almost a month to submit it to the city! Jillian was born on 1/25 and they didnt put it in until 2/20
