Even though Mijo had a home, till his owners decided he was not worthy of moving with them, he has been severely neglected. He needs vet care and is just wasting away at the ACC. Even with all of his medical woes, a volunteer has this to say about Mijo: "Please pull this nice guy today and get him the follow up care he needs! Even though he's clearly not feeling great, he still wants to love all over you!!" I would love to see this cream kitty get some medical care and find himself forever owners who CARE. Wont you please step up and help Mijo?

12 cats tonight. Many surrendered because their owners are moving. Why? Why would you take all your valuables and not take your pet? There is also a gorgeous siamese kitty on the list tonight named Esse. Wont you consider fostering one of these kitties if you can't adopt? Kitties dont take up that much room and you'd be saving a cat's life.

BB is a total lovebug. This handsome fellow was dumped here because his family moved. They took all of their materialistic items with them, but left the most precious thing behind. Now BB will pay the ultimate price with his life. He received an excellent behavior evaluation. He is SUPER FRIENDLY and likes to play with other cats. If you can provide BB with a temporary or forever home please start contacting our rescues NOW. He will make a wonderful companion. He loves to be petted and purrs like crazy. He will give you unconditional love until the end. Please save him, before the acc kills him tomorrow for a treatable cold. His time is running out.

Will you just check out this girl's eyes!!!! And here's the KICKER...she is estimated to be 18 years old Someone has to find it in their heart to not let this knockout breathe her last breath on a metal table. This cat deserve a quiet, heated bed and a warm lap, not the cold steel of a needle. Wont someone please help her?

I said it once and I'll say it again...these animal rescuers rock. All four of last night's cats were pulled. However, it would not be possible without dedicated fosters and adopters. I dont know what is going on at the ACC tonight. There are several cats that are not sick and yet they are on the list. Between the drama here tonight and seeing these cats being killed for no reason, I am very down. I hope we have as successful a night as we did last night. Also, it would appear that starting monday, i am going to be helping out with calling the shelter to get status on the kitties. If you are wondering the status of any of the cats (past or present) let me know I'll put them on my inquiry list. I just need their "A" number and what shelter they're at.

This is so heartbreaking. Please...PLEASE...make arrangements for your animals should something happen to you. Kitty's owner has cancer and can no longer take care of her. Even though kitty's owner lives with other adults, apparently they would rather see their sick family member surrender their cat then step up and help take care of it. This poor owner doesnt know what they have done and states that he "hopes she gets a great home." Unfortunately, the only home she is likely to get is one over the rainbow bridge. Wont someone please step up and help Kitty? It is bad enough her owner is sick and has a life threatening illness, but SHE is healthy and shouldnt have to die because of it.

This is Taylor's second night on the list. With a face like his, and a fabulous behavior, I am saddened and shocked that he has not found a new home. He was surrendered because he owner is moving to a place that does not accept pets. So the family gets a new home and Taylor gets a cold, metal cage and a steel needle. After EIGHT years, it just doesnt seem fair, does it?

When i go to Atlantic City, I always play BlackJack. It has almost the best odds int he the casino. I can assure you that if you gamble on Black jack you are going to come out a winner. Black Jack's housemate has already been adopted. Lets try and get this lovebug a home too! Here's what a volunteer has to say about him:
I really admire the way Black Jack works the cat adoption room. This sweet older gentleman, who found himself at the Manhattan Care Center because his owner was moving, seems to know he's at a disadvantage when it comes to getting adopted because of his age and dark coloring. So he's taking matters into his own hands: he hangs out by the front of his cage, showing off his gregarious, gentle nature. He even extends his little front paw through the door, almost as if he's pointing to his kennel card, which indicates that he earned the best behavior rating by shelter staff. Handsome and well-cared for, with a beautiful black coat (and adorable white patches here and there), Black Jack is doing everything he can to get himself a new living-room sofa to lounge on.

Max's owners moved and instead of taking him with them decided that HIS new home should be at the kill shelter. When they filled out his intake, they said he was friendly and a very loving cat. During his examination he allowed all handling. However, five days later, Max knows something is wrong. He has lost his people and he has lost him home and he is scared and alone. For this reason he is going to die tomorrow. Not because he has a cold. Not because he has done himself or others harm. But because suddenly in five short days he has become NH Only due to: Hissing and growling, does not tolerates handling/ petting, atempt to bite. Five short days from loving family pet to hissing growling kitty who deserves to die. Let's prove the ACC wrong again and give this boy a home and turn him back to the sweet kitty back to the lover boy he was five days ago.

These two kitties have had a rough start to life. They are only 11 months old. They were brought to the shelter by someone who says they found them and kept them for a month to socialize them. Unfortunately, they are going to die tomorrow. Maddy has tested FIV+ and positive for ringworm. Missy was suspected of having ringworm but her test was negative. Actually, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Missy but for fleas...maybe that's it. The ACC is going to kill perfectly healthy kittens now for fleas These little sisters have only known each other. lets get them out of there. They are not disposable. They deserve the chance to give and receive love.

I have been wondering where this list was and just went looking for it...

It looks as if Domino has not been able to post an update for quite some time now, and so I decided to post a kitty that needs to be saved tonight, myself.

Rachel came into the ACC after being surrendered by her owner for the reason "cruelty." If someone has been cruel towards Rachel, you wouldn't know by her behavior in the shelter. She accepts all petting and is friendly to the workers there. But of course, she has caught the shelter cold. And so now this approximately 5 year old kitty who has been through who knows what in her lifetime will be put down tomorrow morning if someone does not come to her rescue.

Sometimes I wonder about the lives that these animals have led. If only they could talk and tell us their stories. If only they were given a chance to love and be loved in return, and recieve the vet care that they deserve.

Tiny has made it onto the Kill List at the ACC 3 times now, and somehow has managed to survive another day each time. Unfortunately that is a rare occurance with the ACC. Once a cat is put on the list, the only hope they have of making it out alive is through the loving arms of someone willing to take them in and nurse them back to health. Tiny has the shelter cold, and is scared. She is also 13 years old, and was brought to the shelter after 13 years of living in a home, because they decided that they were allergic to her. Don't you think that after 13 years of being in a home, Tiny deserves another shot at life and love instead of a lethal injection? We are the only people who can save Tiny. Do you have room in your homes and hearts for an older scared cat who just wants a chance to live?

Please look at the Pets on Death Row facebook page. There are 10 cats who will be put down in the morning if noone steps up to save them. Maybe you will feel that unmistakable pull to an animal looking to be saved.

If you can't take an animal into your home right now, what about sharing an animal who touches your heart on your own facebook page. You never know who will see it!


Dolce has certainly caught my eye. Do you see those whiskers and beautiful green eyes? Such a beautiful cat! And Dolce has a beautiful personality also. He is 2 years old and although he came to the ACC as a stray, he is friendly and loves to be pet. He is looking for a furever home. Do you have room in your home and hearts for Dolce? He is sure to love you and your family forever!

There are only 5 cats on the Kill List tonight. How wonderful would it be if they were all saved?

Patches came into the ACC as a stray and had a huge abcess above her eye. She must have been in a great deal of pain, and so her initial behavior ratings listed her as being aggressive. She was trying to protect herself after being in so much pain in such a scary, new enviornment. Now Patches is affectionate and welcomes petting, but she is on the kill list. She isn't being given a chance to fully heal and prove to the world what an amazing and THANKFUL pet she could be to someone willing to love her. Maybe that someone can be you? Will you please give Patches a chance at a new life?

Beautiful, handsome Jose is just 10 months old and was brought into the shelter as a stray. Now he is on the kill list all because he has a shelter cold. He is 10 MONTHS old! He has been living on the streets and has never had the experience of a home, love, or a family. Look at his eyes! They look like they are begging to be saved! Don't you think it's about time that he knows what it feels like to be loved and adored?

His Animal ID # is A0925067 and it looks as if a rescue group has requested to pull him from the ACC. This is great news, but he still needs a family to foster or adopt him. Maybe that family could be you?

I am so happy to be able to share the news that all 7 of the cats who were on the Kill List at the ACC last night were saved by this morning! Not one of those 7 cats was put to sleep. I am sending my strongest wishes for their long lives and happiness into the world and hope nothing but the best for these cats.

However, life goes on and tonight there are 20 --- yes, 20 cats on the list. 20 cats are scheduled to be euthanized in the morning if we don't all step in and do what we can to save their lives. 20 cats have gotten cheated by their humans who decided they didn't want to care for their companions anymore, or who were taken off of the streets and put into a scary place and deemed unfit to be adopted. These cats can't speak up for themselves and so all of us animal lovers need to do what we can for them.

We can adopt or foster a pet.

But if we are not in the situation to do that, we can also speak up for them by sharing their story on our facebook page or donating to one of the rescue groups who pull these cats out and give them a chance to find loving homes.

Tonight I am sharing with you 2 cats. They don't look like perfect little pets at first glance. If you read their stories you will find that both cats are in pain and are suffering, and urgently need medical care. The ACC can not provide this for them, so they are scheduled to die in the morning. But these are cats that can heal and get better if only given the care they need. And they would both be forever grateful to the humans who gave them such a gift -- the gift of life, of comfort, and of good health. Can that gift be given by you? Do you have room for these kitties in your life? Can you picture the amazing companions that these two cats could become to someone? I know I can.

Devon is a 1.5 year old male cat who has several fractures to his legs and hips. He is in pain, but he deserves a second chance at life.

Poor little Miracle's story breaks my heart. She is only 7 months old. She has conjunctivitis in her eyes and when she was brought to the shelter she was unable to open them due to the discharge keeping them closed shut. She also has a mass of undetermined origin adjacent to her bladder. She needs a LOT of medical care and help, but she'd be forever grateful to the person who could provide it for her.

Wow...it has been so long since I stopped updated this thread. To be honest, it was breaking my heart. It was kind of taking over my life a little and family was getting neglected. I needed to take a step back. However, that doesnt not mean I do not look at the Kill List every night. that doesnt mean I don't share a special cat every once in a while. That doesnt mean I dont send extra money every week to chipins or to rescues where needed.

That said, the reason I am updating tonight is because of Shadow. First, he is a black and white cat that reminds me of my own Miso. Second, he is not sick. Third, he is wearing a collar. Someone brought him in three days ago and tomorrow they are going to kill this cat. Someone's pet who obviously got lost. HE IS WEARING A COLLAR DAMMIT. That's all I have to say. If you could share his face, maybe someone knows his family. Maybe someone will adopt him. The shelter says he is aggressive but like I have mentioned time and again, you cant go by the shelter. These cats are scared...I'd also like to add that there are 67 cats scheduled to be put down tomorrow...67 kitties... To be destroyed on sunday morning.
