thyroid and prolactin levels
RE called to let me know one of my thyroid levels was a bit low and my prolactin level was slightly elevated. He did not seem overly concerned about it but since I am going in for my day 3 blood tomorrow he wanted me to fast and have the levels rerun anyway. He is giving me a script for 50 micrograms of synthroid to help the thyroid level. Anyone have any of these issues or issues with side effects on synthroid? I am wondering if this had anything to do with my 2 MC's. I was at work so it was hard to talk think so I guess I will ask when I see him next.

thyroid and prolactin levels
My prolactin was high when I started my Sept cycle. They didn't give me any meds they just had me fast and have it redrawn. It was border line so they had me cycle anyway. My November cycle it back to normal.

Re: thyroid and prolactin levels
I don't have any experience with the elevated prolatcin level, but I was told that an untreated thyroid is a great risk for miscarriage. I believe this was the cause of my 2 chemicals prior to seeing an RE. Luckily, hypothyroidism is easy to treat with medication.
eta: I originally started on 25 mcg and was bumped up to 75 after 1 month because my numbers still slightly high for my RE's liken. But I was having heart palpitations on that high dose. So I was lowered to 50 and I now feel great!

Re: thyroid and prolactin levels
Thanks ladies! I got the call that all levels were normal which is confusing. I spoke to the nurse and she said not to start the synthroid and come back in 3 weeks for a recheck. The prolactin level I kind of get because during the first blood test I was on an antidepressant which I found out can effect it but the thyroid is throwing me off. I'm waiting for a call back from the doctor. I just want these puzzle pieces to fit! I know that there are no answers sometimes but after 2 MC's I don't want to take any chances especially if it is something simple.
