Re: 10days old newborn: gas
mylicon aka simethicone drops is the generic.. if you buy the generic at target you get triple the amount for 3$.. a small little container of mylicon is 12$!!.. so not worth it, i use it alot with my girls and its the same thing, get more for you money lol

Its on the bottle, you can mix w/formula or give prior to or after feeding. I would usually give to DD directly into herr mouth at end of bottle

Re: 10days old newborn: gas
check with your ped, but I think gripe water is also safe, its essentially tea of fennel and ginger
my ped also recommends giving chamomile tea with brown sugar

Re: 10days old newborn: gas
Forget Mylicon,....switch to gentlease. It is the best formula! It is for babies with gas and fussiness..partially broken down proteins and reduced lactose so it is easier to digest. Most babies have issues with tolerating a full lactose load in formula bc their guts are immature, therefore a reduced lactose prodcuts prevents lactose overload, while still providing lactose to stimulate the enzyme lactase in the gut.
I love this product and recommend it to all my mommies (I am a ped. dietitian).
