2 questions re: birth plans and brazilians

I know they are kind of unrelated but are you making a birth plan? I feel like they are kind of silly because you never know what is going to happen so I am thinking of not even bothering.

Also anyone plan on having a brazilian before the big day? Chat Icon If so what week are you going to go for one?

Re: 2 questions re: birth plans and brazilians

No birth plan here, all I know is I'm praying for the epidural.

Nope I've given them up during pregnancy. My skin is sensitive now, I cannot even imagine. I don't feel the need to torture myself, good ol' shaving is working just fine for now.

#1 no birth plan. Just letting them know that only DH is in the room with me, i am trying to go drug free and afterwards to please remember that i have an extra placenta b.c i dont want it staying in there LOL

#2 I go every six weeks for brazilians. If I follow this schedule I am due to go a little after I hit 39 weeks so I will try to go then!

My waxing lady did a lady on her due date. . . with TWINS. She went from the waxing place, home to shower, and then to the hospital!

She said that when she was waxing her, she couldnt even see her face b/c her belly blocked it LOL AND she even turned over!!!!! This woman, whoever she is, wherever she is - is my idol!

No birth plan. Scheduled c-section is a must have for the sake of the baby and the sake of my uterus.

The only Brazilian that will be a part of my life is the Churrascaria in Mineola that DH needs to take me to before I get too big to enjoy it.

I don't believe in either! Chat Icon

Birth plans to me seem ridiculous. It's like trying to plan how your hair will grow, or how long you will live.
It';s out of your hands- nature takes it's course.

Brazilians... my DH would KILL me if I ever considered a brazilian... he is very turned off by the "baldly" look! He says he would feel like he was with a 12 year old girl Chat Icon
Not to mention- I really don't think the Dr's and nurses will be too concerned with how bushy your who ha is that day- there are so many other gross things going on and coming out of you that the prettiest trim in the world won't matter! Chat Icon

No to the Birth plan

I want to say Yes to the Brazilian but since I've never done it before I'm thinking NOW is probably NOT the best time to start.

So wish I got into bikini waxing years ago Chat Icon Chat Icon

Yeah see I have never had a brazilian just regular bikini waxes but I am thinking it will be worth the pain so that it will be less to deal with in the aftermath Chat Icon

Re: 2 questions re: birth plans and brazilians

I am having a c section, so no birth plan needed.

No to the brazilian. I think it hurts bad enough normally, I can't imagine what it would feel like now since its so sensitive down there. Besides the fact that I always feel "wet" down there (sorry TMI), I would be too embarrassed to.

The doctors have seen everything and at this point I don't care what it looks like down there - hack job, or a bush from the 70's .Chat Icon

I shave blind and I know I must have bald spots etc, and I could care less! Chat Icon

Re: 2 questions re: birth plans and brazilians

1. I am going to make a little cheat sheet for DH that way if he gets overwhelmed he can use it for reference. I know that prob sounds crazy, but I know I won't be in any condition to remind/explain things to him while in labor.

2. No way! I had to start plucking my eyebrows b/c the pain was so much worse since getting pregnant. I am going to shave as best I can. I will have DH check to see if I missed anything. Chat Icon

no birth plan, don't want to know too much!

I stopped getting brazilian and just get regular wax. I'm sure it's not pretty there anyway (not that I can actaully SEE it!) so why deal w/ the extra pain Chat Icon

My birth plan: Keep my mother out of the room.

And you want to hear something funny? Before I got PG I was going regularly for brazilians. DH asked me to stop going when PG. It's driving me insane. Maybe I'll get one for his birthday and tell him it's a present for him. Chat Icon That might remind him that I need to go back!! Chat Icon

Just FYI - if you are worried about no shaving/waxing/brazilian b/c of the doctor...no worries there. My friend is an OB and she says most dr's are more skeeved by the look of a little girl on their table Chat Icon ...sorry just letting you know what she said!

Nah it has nothing to do with the doctors (for me at least). I am just thinking of being torn up and sensitive down there after the fact. I just feel like it would be cleaner with all the bleeding and everything and less to deal with if you know what I mean Chat Icon

That's how I feel, I actually just got one at 32 weeks and it is the one part of me that feels "normal". To me it is so much cleaner and more fresh so I plan on doing another one closer to my DD. I have never had a BF or DH think its like a little girl, they think it is hot Chat Icon Obviously I am not a little girl Chat Icon
